Maintenance Technician

Overview We are seeking someone to join our team of "Lifeguards" and help in our facility's maintenance operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, willingness to learn and a some experience in maintenance, construction or similar is preferential. ensuring that all maintenance tasks are executed efficiently and effectively. This role reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and requires a hands-on approach to maintain the integrity of our systems and equipment while fostering a safe and productive environment for residents, employees and visitors. Duties Works with supervisor to coordinate the daily activities of the maintenance team, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and best practices. Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with operational standards. Utilize our computerized maintenance management system for tracking maintenance activities, scheduling preventive maintenance, and managing work orders. Monitors HVAC systems, ensuring optimal performance through regular servicing and troubleshooting. Monitor, track, schedule and direct life safety code drills and inspections. Participates in the facility Safety Committee. Works on projects related to facility upgrades or repairs, ensuring timely completion within budget constraints. Requirements A positive, "can do" attitude. Experience in facilities management or a related field preferred but not required. Strong organization and teamwork skills. Familiarity with HVAC systems, including installation, repair, and maintenance procedures ideal Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to maintenance challenges. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with supervisor, team members and other departments.
