Maintenance Technician Job Description0 We are seeking skilled Maintenance Technicians to join our team in various roles. These positions require expertise in preventive maintenance, mechanical and electrical repairs, and the ability to work efficiently within a distribution center setting. Responsibilities Perform assigned preventive maintenance tasks and minor mechanical repairs to material-handling and other Distribution Center equipment. Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to maintain machinery and equipment according to manufacturer recommendations and good maintenance practices. Clear jams and remove foreign materials to maintain efficient operation of material handling equipment. Conduct general building maintenance including lamp replacement, simple construction, wiring, and plumbing repairs. Prioritize and coordinate work assignments to ensure timely completion of critical tasks. Mentor and coach maintenance team members, providing orientation, training, and communication of good maintenance practices. Perform preventative, corrective, and predictive maintenance on high-tech automated equipment. Maintain a safe work environment by identifying and correcting potential safety issues. Essential Skills At least 5 years of maintenance experience in a facility, United States Armed Forces, distribution, or manufacturing environment, or an Associate degree in Industrial or Maintenance Technology with at least 3 years of experience. At least 3 years of experience with industrial electricity, including single phase and three-phase power, motors, protective devices, and photo sensors. Proficiency in Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) logic principles, uploading and downloading PLCs, System Control Software (SCSs), and scanners. Experience with electronics such as photo sensors, remote Input/Output modules, servo drives, variable frequency drives, and scanning systems. Ability to climb to a 100-foot level for repairs and lift parts and tools weighing up to 50 pounds. Experience in financial decision-making and leadership skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in maintenance mechanic, industrial electrical, hydraulics, mechanical maintenance, and electrical repair. Skills in controls - PLCs, pneumatics, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and schematic reading. Knowledge of HVAC, repair, electrical maintenance, and industrial maintenance practices. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $47.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
