Maintenance Technician

Maintenance Technician up to $44 an hour The Maintenance Technician will perform hands-on preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems in a high-volume manufacturing environment. This role focuses on keeping production lines running efficiently by diagnosing and resolving equipment issues, following a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), and working collaboratively with a team of experienced maintenance technicians. Responsibilities Perform hands-on preventative and corrective maintenance on production equipment, including SMP presses and related machinery. Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical systems, including identifying issues up to 12V and 480V and locating blown fuses. Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems to ensure reliable and safe operation. Receive, prioritize, and complete maintenance work orders through a CMMS and follow established preventive maintenance schedules. Monitor equipment performance, identify potential issues, and take proactive steps to prevent unplanned downtime. Work closely with a team of approximately 10 maintenance technicians on shift to keep production lines running and meet operational targets. Use welding skills (MIG, TIG, and Arc) to support repairs and fabrication as needed. Read and interpret electrical wiring schematics and hydraulic prints to accurately diagnose and resolve issues. Apply knowledge of inputs and outputs to troubleshoot control-related problems. Perform fabrication work such as machining, rigging, operating mills, drill presses, and other shop equipment to repair or improve equipment components. Support continuous improvement efforts by suggesting and implementing changes that enhance equipment reliability and performance. Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while working on electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems. Collaborate with production and other departments to schedule maintenance activities and minimize disruption to operations. Document maintenance work performed, parts used, and findings within the CMMS to maintain accurate equipment histories. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Carey, OH.
