Job Description
About Lumen Lumen Living, LLC is an independent living program for young adults with autism focused on helping residents build confidence, life skills, and independence in a supportive environment. We are looking for a dependable, hands-on Maintenance Technician who takes pride in keeping our homes and facilities safe, clean, and running smoothly. Position Summary The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for general maintenance, repairs, upkeep, and property support across our program locations. This role is ideal for someone who is patient, reliable, professional, and comfortable working in a supportive residential setting with young adults on the autism spectrum. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs Handle basic plumbing, electrical, painting, drywall, and carpentry tasks Complete preventative maintenance and safety inspections Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas Coordinate with outside vendors when needed Ensure properties remain safe, functional, and welcoming Assist with apartment/unit turnovers and furniture assembly Support occasional landscaping or exterior upkeep Qualifications Previous maintenance, handyman, or facilities experience preferred Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repairs Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Reliable transportation and valid driver's license Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks Professional, respectful, and patient demeanor Experience working around individuals with disabilities is a plus, but not required What We Offer Meaningful work that makes a difference Supportive and positive work environment Flexible scheduling options Competitive pay based on experience Competitive Benefits Package including Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401K Opportunity to grow with a mission-driven organization To Apply Please submit your resume and a brief introduction explaining why you'd be a great fit for Lumen.
