Maintenance Technician Job Description We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team, specializing in 70% mechanical and 30% electrical repair work. The role involves providing emergency and scheduled repairs for production equipment, inspecting and testing electrical equipment, as well as mechanical, pneumatics, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repairs. You will be responsible for installing, repairing, overhauling, modifying, and maintaining electrical and mechanical systems, replacing defective parts, diagnosing and repairing faulty components, and maintaining PLCs. Responsibilities Provide emergency and scheduled repairs of production equipment. Inspect and test electrical equipment, lighting, signal, communication, and power circuits. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatics, and hydraulic systems of packaging and production machines. Install, repair, overhaul, modify, and maintain electrical and mechanical systems. Replace defective parts such as gears, brushes, and armatures. Diagnose and repair faulty mechanical and electrical components. Troubleshoot and maintain PLCs. Troubleshoot electrical inputs and manage basic electrical tasks involving 3-phase motors. Read blueprints and schematics. Plug and pull AC/DC motors. Complete preventive maintenance tasks. Conduct mechanical repairs on high-speed packaging equipment, conveyors, palletizers, vacuum seal equipment, and box erectors. Essential Skills Industrial or manufacturing maintenance technician experience (4-5 years). Minor electrical experience. Mechanical aptitude. Ability to troubleshoot mechanical equipment. Basic PLC troubleshooting skills. Experience with mechanical and electrical systems in a manufacturing environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Food manufacturing experience. Work Environment The work environment is a smaller manufacturing facility focused on producing salad dressing. It is GMP regulated, ensuring high standards of production with approximately 90 employees. Shifts include openings on 2nd and 3rd shifts, with training on days for 30-60 days and overtime available on Saturdays. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $64480.00 - $70720.00/yr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
