Job Description
Entry Level Maintenance Tech-1st shift Talon Products - Bristol, IN Overview - Talon Products is an industry leading manufacturer of fiberglass panels for the recreational vehicle industry. Talon employs the latest technology and automation to efficiently produce the highest quality fiberglass panel available. We are currently looking for a highly motivated individual to join our maintenance team and fill a technician role on 1st shift. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring production runs smoothly and efficiently. We offer competitive wages, weekly attendance bonus and a full benefits package. Responsibilities - Perform all work in a safe and organized manner Assist with repairs and help maintain all production related equipment along with various facility systems and components Perform emergency repairs to production equipment Understand how multiple manufacturing systems work together as complete production line, on the job training for specifics provided Perform preventative maintenance tasks as assigned to reduce equipment down time Assist with repairs on electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and fluid systems Monitor operation of machinery and systems in plant, constantly watching for problems or needed interventions Perform other duties as required to maintain company property and equipment in clean, orderly and working condition Requirements/Qualifications - Capable of learning new systems and concepts Experience and understanding of OSHA safety guidelines and proper use of PPE Strong communication and interpersonal skills Familiar with mechanical, electrical and automated control systems Self-motivated and driven to stay on task and productive without direct supervision Strong computer skills with ability to retrieve and input data into various computer systems Work and collaborate with others as team members all focused on the same goal Ability to read and utilize technical manuals and drawings Use part breakdown drawings for reassembly of complex components Follow chemical safety procedures PLC knowledge and experience preferred Ability to complete required maintenance documentation in both paper and electronic form Flexibility to work overtime as required due to breakdowns or scheduled project work Able to lift and carry objects weighting from twenty-five up to fifty pounds Comfortable performing work on ladders or boom lift Metal fabrication and welding skills a plus Comfortable working with hand tool This job description is not intended and should not be viewed as any type of contract.
