  • $33 /hr Posted April 14, 2026 Maintenance Technician Position Overview We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our facilities team to ensure reliable operation of manufacturing equipment and building systems.
The ideal candidate will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC systems, boilers, air compressors, chillers and cooling towers, and support production by troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical equipment. This role emphasizes safety, uptime, and continuous improvement of maintenance practices. Key Responsibilities Perform routine and emergency maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC systems, boilers, chillers, cooling towers, and air compressors to maintain reliable operation. Inspect, test, and service mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems on manufacturing equipment to minimize downtime and improve performance. Execute scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) tasks and document work in a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults using hand tools, meters, and diagnostic equipment; fabricate or modify parts as needed. Collaborate with production, engineering, and contractors to plan and execute repairs, upgrades, and installation projects with minimal impact on operations. Maintain compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements, including proper handling of refrigerants and boiler systems. Maintain spare parts inventory, order replacement parts, and recommend parts or equipment upgrades to improve reliability and efficiency. Participate in root cause analysis of recurring failures and implement corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives. Provide clear, timely maintenance reports and shift handovers to ensure continuity of knowledge and operations. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; technical diploma or associate degree in HVAC, industrial maintenance, or related field preferred. 3+ years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, including HVAC systems, boilers, chillers, cooling towers, and air compressors. Relevant certifications preferred: EPA 608 (refrigerant handling), boiler operator license, HVAC technician certification, or similar. Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, including ability to read electrical schematics, P&IDs, and mechanical drawings. Experience with preventive maintenance programs and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS). Proven ability to use diagnostic tools, multimeters, torque tools, and welding/basic fabrication skills a plus. Knowledge of safety protocols, lockout/tagout, confined space, and hazard communication standards. Ability to work rotating shifts, overtime, and respond to emergency calls when required; ability to lift and move equipment per job demands. Benefits
