Job Description

JOB TITLE
: Maintenance Engineer

: Onsite (Santa Fe Galisteo Basin, New Mexico)
COMPANY OVERVIEW
MEA, named by The New York Times as "the world's first midlife wisdom school," provides 5-day workshops where participants, together with a team of MEA facilitators explore topics revolving around transitions, finding purpose, and owning wisdom, under the principle that wisdom is shared, not taught. Participants spend their time over the workshop in a combination of classroom and experiential modules, in the comfort of upscale accommodations that one could expect from a luxury boutique hotel.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
: Perform preventative maintenance for kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, HVAC, guest rooms, pools, etc. Perform preventative maintenance on small equipment such as vacuum cleaners, exhaust fans, etc. Assist with operation maintenance and repair of equipment Change out light bulbs, perform preventative maintenance for guest rooms to include vinyl repair, touch up paint, furniture repair, etc. Provide general maintenance and repairs throughout the property's interior and exterior Making minor repairs and/or replacements to all interior and exterior items including but not limited to electrical, plumbing, air conditioning, appliances, lighting, woodwork, drywall. painting, flooring, and furniture as well as any other repairs requested Maintain all equipment and systems consistent with the preventative maintenance program to insure minimal downtime Prioritize and complete maintenance work orders timely and accurately, ensuring that the items that can create the largest exposure are done first Complete maintenance work orders, such as clogged toilets, drywall repair, electrical, plumbing in a timely manner and consistent with the company's standard operating procedures Respond to guest requests, including maintenance emergencies timely and efficiently General groundskeeping and landscaping projects as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
Previous experience in the facilities maintenance engineering, preferably in hospitality or property management Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings Strong interpersonal communication skills

Working with hay and livestock is an essential part of this job - so allergies or health concerns related to any allergens that might be problematic on the ranch could be a disqualifying factor for this position. The position is onsite. The team member is expected to work 40 hours a week, flexible availability including weekends is a must.
