Maintenance Technician I

The Village of Ackley is seeking a reliable and motivated Maintenance Technician I to join our team! This position is responsible for maintaining a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for residents and staff through general facility maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance. Responsibilities Perform general maintenance and repairs including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work Respond promptly to maintenance requests Assist with grounds maintenance, snow removal, and landscaping Complete preventative maintenance tasks and maintain accurate records Ensure compliance with safety and OSHA standards Assist with equipment and furniture installation Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required Technical or trade experience preferred Previous maintenance experience in healthcare, assisted living, commercial, or residential settings preferred Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks Strong communication and problem-solving skills Must be able to lift, push, pull, and perform physical labor throughout the shift Must be available to work weekends and holidays as needed
