Job Summary Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems (e.g., mechanical, electrical) | Evaluates and recommends equipment improvements to improve availability, capability and yield | Performs equipment failure analyses (including preventive and unscheduled maintenance) | Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment problems | Prepares technical reports to document equipment modifications and equipment maintenance procedures Impact of the Role General Profile Requires basic skills in an analytical or scientific method or operational process Works within clearly defined standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods and adheres to quality guidelines Works with close supervision Performs manual tasks according to established procedures Essential Functions Performs preventive maintenance and skilled repairs on complex electrical and mechanical production equipment and systems. Follows standard procedures to monitor equipment for performance, safety, and effectiveness. Performs equipment failure analysis to complete preventive and unscheduled maintenance. Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment problems. Logs equipment modifications and maintenance details in the designated system. Follows prescribed safety rules and regulations and maintains quality standards Required Qualifications Required education and experience: Vocational/Technical Training Degree and 1-2 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience Preferred Qualifications Preferred education and experience:
Associate's Degree Discipline/Major:
Maintenance or related discipline preferred Knowledge, skills & abilities: Ability to work as part of a team. Problem-solving skills. Technical expertise. Automation. Calibration. Equipment maintenance. Failure analysis. Manufacturing support. Mechanical troubleshooting. Numerical control. Production support. Refurbishment. Total Productive Maintenance (TPM). Equipment repairs. Mechanical maintenance. Equipment monitoring. Process documentation. Physical Requirements Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities. Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds. May need to stand for long periods of time. Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery. May be requested to work a different shift. This position is Safety-Sensitive.
