Job Description

Job Summary :
Repairs and maintains machinery, plumbing, physical structure, electrical wiring and fixtures of the manufacturing plant in accordance with blueprints, manuals, and building codes, using hand tools and carpenter's, electrician's and plumber's tools.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Perform the dismantling and repair of facility equipment. Utilize specialized and common hand tools to complete repairs.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on various machines and facility equipment following a prescribed schedule.
  • Ensure the on-hand spare parts and fabrication inventory is current and adequate.
  • Perform the repair, maintenance or replacement of plumbing equipment and fixtures using plumbing tools.
  • Perform or direct the installation of electrical equipment and machinery and the repair or replacement of wiring and fixtures.
  • Perform the building or repair of work benches, shelving, partitions, and other structures, using metalworking and carpenter's tools.
  • Perform or maintain the painting of walls, floors, woodwork, and production equipment, ensuring adherence to established aesthetics.
  • Job requires some heavy lifting.
  • Work overtime as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Educational Requirements /
Experience:
  • High School diploma.
  • Minimum of 5 years' industrial facility maintenance.
  • Electrical certification is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of plumbing, HVAC systems, electrical 3 phase and mechanical theory.
  • Able to read and comprehend blueprints, manuals and sketches.
