Job Description

Overview:

In this energetic role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of equipment and systems to keep our environment safe, efficient, and fully functional. Your mechanical expertise and proactive approach will help prevent downtime and support our commitment to excellence. A property Management company with over 17 years of experience working with over 1,600 properties with locations throughout Missoula County. Full-Time Seasonal (40 hours per week, M-F). You will enjoy providing excellent customer service while ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for residents. Reports to Project Coordinator.
Duties:
  • Maintain maintenance department tools, equipment and facilities.
  • Keep team members, and others as appropriate, informed of all pertinent issues.
  • Able to communicate professionally with others while under pressure
  • General building maintenance and repairs
  • Respond to tenants' request for maintenance services, including but not limited to replacing air filters, installing new locks and troubleshooting various appliances
  • Repair plumbing, electrical, and safety systems in tenants' units as required
  • Test performance of in-unit appliances
  • Take routine care of equipment and materials
  • Complete work orders in a timely and accurate manner
  • Maintain property logs and inventory of supplies and equipment
  • Perform repairs on properties including painting, carpentry, wall repair, minor plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and etc.
  • Cleans units during the turnover process
  • Other duties as assigned
Skills and Experience:
This position is responsible for a variety of tasks including but not limited to:
  • Possess broad array of Problem Solving and Critical Thinker ability
  • Good understanding of General Maintenance Skills, including basic knowledge of electricity and mechanical skills; plumbing, painting, dry wall
  • Appliance troubleshooting/repair experience; furnace, commercial/residential, PTACS
  • Willingness to uphold company standards for safety, tenant service and efficiency
  • Ability to communicate well with property management and maintenance staff
  • Tech Savvy and/or Computer Literate (use of Microsoft suite, email, internet, etc).
  • Strong Verbal and written communication skills

  • 75-100lbs, push, pull and lift; stooping, twisting, bending, squatting, kneeling etc.
  • At least 2 years of previous or similar experience
  • Valid DL & Clean Driving Record
  • Clean Background
High School Diploma or GED Physical Demands:
  • Required to stand for long periods of time
  • May involve some repetitive motion
  • Must be able to lift 70 pounds - more than 70 pounds requires a team lift
  • May also engage in frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, and pulling of parts and part containers
  • Must be able to work in a variety of temperature conditions.
  • PPE may be required and provided.
Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
