Maintenance Technician - Second Shift

General Position Scope:

Responsible for maintaining all production equipment and physical plant. This includes performing preventative maintenance, obtaining repair parts and supplies, and designing new ways to improve production. Job Responsibilities:

Perform and assist highly diversified duties to repair, maintain, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment, including emergency/unscheduled repairs. Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments. Perform simple machinist skills for fabricating parts as needed Perform mechanical skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and the troubleshooting of blown film extruders and ancillary equipment Perform electrical skills, including repairing electrical controls, equipment and wiring, as well as the troubleshooting, installation, and repair of electrical components Perform preventive maintenance on equipment, machines, and facilities

• Complete Work orders that are assigned to you in a timely manner through Maintain X
• Keep shop area and area around tool boxes clean and decluttered, pick up clutter throughout the plant to keep all walk way clear
• Create work order for all work done on the job, check out parts on work order that were used on the job
• Let the maintenance manager know of any parts that are not logged into the Maintain X program
• Let Maintenance manager know of any issues on the machines while doing inspections and maintenance to them
• Assist in helping operations figure out any issues they are having when called upon
• Complete any task that is asked by management
• Keep the plant running with minimal downtime
• Participate in text conversations when issues arris while no maintenance personnel is onsite
• When called in complete downtime/ issue in a timely manner
• Complete all paper work in a timely manner
• Follow all safety rules and regulations
• Show up on time and work over when needed
• Let Maintenance manager know of any upcoming time that you will not be work during your scheduled time to get approval

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Ability to work independently Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties Effective communication skills Must work well with others and follow directions Learn and understand basic troubleshooting skills Knowledge of basic hand tool usage Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand through shift Good eye and hand coordination Education and/or

Experience :

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Degree in Industrial Maintenance or equivalent
• Experience in blown film extrusion preferred.

Physical Demands:

• While performing the duties of this job, the candidate is frequently required to stand, walk, climb/descend steps, kneel, squat.
• The candidate is often required to kneel, reach, push, pull, and bend; lift up to 50 lbs.
• The work Environment can be hot, noise levels are moderate.
• Proper PPE is required in many job tasks.
