Maintenance Trades Specialist II -Plumber Location:
Lutheran General hospital; Park Ridge, IL. Full Time; 1st Shift ~Monday-Friday, 6:30am-3pmMajor Responsibilities:
Conducts preventive maintenance tasks and repairs on basic facility systems and documents tasks through the computerized maintenance system. Assists in evaluating and troubleshooting basic building system failures and performs repairs as directed. Operates and monitors and maintains basic Utility System Infrastructure. Assist in maintaining fire alarm and fire protection systems. Supports the installation of building hardware, electrical devices, and wall finishes under supervision. Maintains preventive maintenance records and equipment repair files for compliance. Reads blueprints, Life Safety drawings and maintenance manuals to gain knowledge needed to complete assignments. Licensure, Registration, and/orCertification Required:
Advanced training beyond High School that includes the completion of technical training.Valid Driver's License Education Required:
High school diploma or GED equivalentExperience Required:
2-4 Years of Experience in relatable industrial/trades maintenance or operations.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
Works within clearly defined standard operating procedures. Intermediate level computer skills in using systems such as CMMS, Microsoft Office, Building Automation Systems. Good communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills. Ability to work with minimal oversight with intermediate level technical skills in facility maintenance.Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Works required shifts and participates in on-call duty to provide 24/7 coverage. Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, crawl, reach above shoulders, and twist frequently throughout the workday. Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs. from floor to overhead, lift up to 50 lbs. from floor to chest-level, lift and carry up to 50 lbs. at waist height a reasonable distance. Must be able to push/pull with 50 lbs. of force. Exposure to electrical and mechanical hazards and therefore knowledge of safety precautions. Position requires travel. May be exposed to road/weather hazards. Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job.Preferred Job Requirements:
Recognized community college/tech school trade certificate experience or completion of a recognized community college program. Trade/Tech School Trades Certificate or trades or industry recognized certification/license requiring Continuing Education Units or periodic renewal to maintain. 2+ Years of Experience in relatable industrial/trades maintenance or operations.
