Maintenance Worker

Town of Boone is looking for a Maintenance person to join our team. Position is a part-time position with 32 hours a week schedule of Monday thru Friday and on call every other weekend.

Responsibilities:

Should have a general maintenance knowledge of fixing things. Maintain Park and ground to include bathrooms, playground equipment. Maintain Streets and Street Signs and general ground keeping next to streets and town facilities Maintain Water lines, meter pits, manholes, valves, water hydrants and sewer lines, valves and sewer lift station. Knowledge or repairing Broken Waterlines. Must be Licenses or willing to be licensed as a Water/Wastewater operator. Pay increase with License. Must learn water and sewer testing and work closely with our ORC person to maintain water and sewer systems. Maintain and proof of operation of equipment backhoe, tractor, truck, and road grader. Knowledge or Maintaining Vehicles Must be able to lift 75lb and have a valid driver license. Proof of driving record and drug testing is required. Must be able to communicate with the residents as needed.
