In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of building systems, performing landscaping duties, and ensuring the overall safety and functionality of our properties. Your expertise will help create a welcoming, safe, and well-maintained environment for residents, staff, and visitors alike. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your mechanical skills, electrical knowledge, and landscaping talents in a fast-paced setting that values initiative and teamwork. Duties Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical equipment. Perform repairs using welding techniques and troubleshoot issues with schematics to identify solutions efficiently. Manage landscaping tasks such as lawn care, planting, trimming, irrigation system maintenance, and seasonal clean-up to enhance curb appeal. Assist with residential painting projects to maintain the aesthetic quality of properties. Operate tools such as ohmmeters and other electrical testing devices to diagnose system faults accurately. Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to track work orders, maintenance schedules, and inventory levels. Assist with facilities maintenance projects, ensuring safety standards are met while delivering high-quality results. Provide excellent customer service by addressing repair requests promptly and communicating effectively with residents or team members. Support supervising staff in daily operations, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently while maintaining a positive team environment. Experience Proven experience in facilities maintenance or handyman roles with a strong background in mechanical repairs and electrical troubleshooting. Skilled in welding techniques and familiar with schematics for electrical or mechanical systems. Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus for troubleshooting automated systems. Experience working with CMMS software for work order management is preferred. Ability to read technical diagrams, schematics, and blueprints accurately. Prior landscaping experience including lawn care equipment operation and residential painting, is desirable. Demonstrated leadership or supervising experience within maintenance or facilities teams is advantageous. Strong communication skills in English to effectively coordinate tasks and provide excellent customer service. Familiarity with tools such as ohmmeters and other electrical testing devices to ensure proper system functioning.
