Job Description

Job Details:
This position is responsible to diagnose issues, adjust, repair, and perform routine maintenance on vehicles and equipment while complying with Department of Transportation rules and regulations, maintaining a safe work environment, and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team at the Seguin Service Center.
Job Requirements:
Must have Diesel Mechanic experience. Must have a Minimum of 6 months of industrial maintenance experience. CDL is a plus, but not required. Must provide a resume or manually enter work-related experience on application.
Responsibilities include:
Forklifts:
Maintenance and repairs
Semi-Trucks:
Servicing and repairs
Pallet Jacks:
Ensuring operational efficiency
Hydraulic Motors and Hoses:
Maintenance and Troubleshooting Augers:
Repairs and maintenance
Tire Repairs:
Repairing and mounting new tires
Vehicle Washing:
Washing vehicles as needed Diagnose issues, adjust, repair, and perform routine maintenance on vehicles and equipment. Comply with Department of Transportation rules and regulations. Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to Tyson's policies and procedures.
Communication and Documentation:
Communicate and interface with management and other personnel. Capable of reading and following instructions as well as technical manuals.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand on hard surfaces for up to 12 hours per day. Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 70 lbs occasionally and 10 lbs frequently. The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Rehire Criteria:
Must have 90 days since the last term date. Not eligible for hire if terminated 3x or more.
