Job Description

Overview Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Maintenance/Environmental Services Manager. Responsible for the day-to-day maintenance operations of the facility in accordance with resident needs, governmental regulations, and company policies. The main objective is to oversee repairs, installations, and upkeep of building and equipment in support of resident, tenant, staff and visitor safety and enable business to achieve financial profitability for the Care Community. This position provides housekeeping and laundry department leadership and may also plan, direct, and carry out shift routines in within the facility, ordering of housekeeping, laundry, maintenance and other department supplies. Duties Repair and/or arrange for repair of plumbing, mechanical, electrical, electronic systems and equipment such as boilers, water softeners, air conditioners, washers, dryers, heating and cooling equipment, etc. Ensures completion of repairs to the physical plant and all equipment not covered by outside service contracts in accordance with blueprints, operation manuals and manufacturer's specifications. Performs preventative maintenance on all equipment. Ensures emergency response policy, practices, protocol and systems are in place. Responsible for painting, salt, sanding and shoveling of the grounds. Ensures the appearance of the facility is neat and clean. Uses maintenance program to determine what needs to be repaired. Must be knowledgeable of chemicals used in building, electrical and other hazards and OSHA Right to Know program. Able to mix chemicals according to the manufacturer recommendations and with the use of safety equipment. Check stock supplies as needed and see items are available within budget. Respond to inquiries relating to his/her particular area or to requests from members, visitors, other personnel within given periods. Haul garbage, unload vehicles, unload freight and store inventory as assigned. Oversees the Laundry and Housekeeping departments. Perform other duties as assigned. On Call as needed for emergencies.
