The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for food preparation, and extensive knowledge of food safety and management practices. This role involves managing staff, ensuring high-quality product output, maintaining inventory control, and delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. The Bakery Manager will play a crucial role in maintaining the bakery's reputation for excellence and operational efficiency. Duties Supervise and coordinate bakery staff, including training and development to ensure high standards of food quality and customer service Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring adherence to safety and sanitation standards Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, stock rotation, and minimizing waste Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for transactions, cash handling, and sales reporting Ensure all baked goods meet quality standards before presentation or sale Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery workspace in compliance with health regulations Assist with shift management, scheduling staff shifts to optimize coverage during peak hours Monitor food production levels to meet customer demand while controlling costs Implement food safety protocols and ensure staff compliance with health regulations Lead catering, special event baking, or banquet services as needed Support kitchen management tasks related to food handling, culinary processes, and overall food industry standards Skills Proven experience in food preparation, kitchen management, or restaurant management with a focus on bakery operations Strong leadership skills with experience in supervising teams and managing staff training programs Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; cash handling expertise required Knowledge of inventory control, budgeting, and food safety standards within the hospitality or food industry Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle guest inquiries professionally Ability to manage shift schedules efficiently in a quick service or casual dining environment Experience in culinary arts or baking is preferred; hospitality management background is a plus Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in food production and team supervision Effective communication skills for interviewing potential staff members and conducting training sessions Leadership qualities that foster teamwork, motivation, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced setting This Bakery Manager role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a vibrant team dedicated to delivering exceptional baked goods while ensuring smooth daily operations.
