Overview We are seeking a dedicated Male Caregiver for Veterans to join our compassionate team. In this vital role, you will provide personalized assistance and support to male veterans, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. Your efforts will help maintain their independence and enhance their quality of life through attentive caregiving, respectful companionship, and thorough care management.
Weekly Schedule Available:
Monday:
8:30 AM-12:30 PM (4 hours)
Tuesday:
8:30 AM-11:30 AM (3 hours)
Wednesday:
8:30 AM-11:30 AM (3 hours)
Thursday:
8:30 AM-11:30 AM (3 hours)
Friday:
10:00 AM-1:00 PM (3 hours)
Saturday:
8:30 AM-10:30 AM (2 hours)
Sunday:
8:30 AM-10:30 AM (2 hours) Responsibilities This client is companionship only other clients would need Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to track health status Administer medications accurately following care plans and HIPAA regulations Support residents with dementia or Alzheimer's by implementing memory care techniques and ensuring a safe environment Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary Use patient observation skills to identify changes in condition or behavior and report findings promptly Operate equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident lifts safely to prevent injury during transfers Requirements Prior experience in home health, assisted living, nursing homes, or group home settings preferred Knowledge of patient care procedures including medication administration and vital signs monitoring Certification in CPR and First Aid required; additional certifications such as HIPAA compliance are a plus Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or dementia strongly preferred Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist with resident transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills and respect for residents' dignity Valid background check and willingness to adhere to all safety protocols and care standards Join us in making a positive impact on the lives of our veterans! Pay:
$16.00 - $22.50 per hour
