Duties:

• Provide direct patient care
• Assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding
• Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals
• Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
• Assist with wound care and suture removal
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans
• Document patient information in electronic medical records systems, such as Epic or eClinicalWorks
• Provide care for patients across various age groups, including pediatrics and geriatrics
• Assist with ambulation and transfer of patients using proper body mechanics and lifting techniques
• Perform basic airway management procedures

Requirements:

• Valid certification as a nursing assistant or completion of a nursing assistant training program
• Knowledge of medical terminology and basic patient care techniques
• Experience in an assisted living or long-term care facility is preferred
• Proficient in using electronic medical records systems, such as Epic or eClinicalWorks
• Ability to lift and move patients with proper body mechanics and lifting techniques
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a healthcare team
