You will conduct a variety of studies related to all the substantive programs, processes, and functions of the division. You will provide assistance in planning, coordinating and executing guidance and support Process Quality Training (PQT), Branch Heads, and Division Heads based on facts obtained through analytical studies, investigation and technical evaluations. You will perform precise data collection, identifying weakness in division/department processes, and provide accurate data for managers to formulate/recommend meaningful solutions. You will identify potential bottlenecks to minimize unwanted, detrimental, or negative effects on the division and division personnel. Requirements Help Conditions of employment Must be a US Citizen. This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required. This position requires exposure to high noise levels. Qualifications GS-9: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-7 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: the ability to advise management of the effectiveness of shipyard programs and the operations, productivity, and efficiency of those programs; identifying and analyzing program issues and recommending solutions to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness; utilizing computer applications such as spreadsheets, databases (oracle, MS Access, etc.) or graphic applications to extract data. GS-7: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-5 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: knowledge of programs, functions, responsibilities, and processes; assisting in compiling and analyzing data to recommend solutions for process improvement in support of organizational efficiency; utilizing software programs to create reports, charts, graphs, or presentations.
