We are seeking a Manager, Construction Management Office to lead and optimize construction-related processes, workflows, and project coordination across our organization. Job Summary:
Responsible for the effective coordination and communication among the functional groups responsible for network construction, while assisting teams executing customer drops, trouble and repair issues.
Key Responsibilities:
Relative to construction, the primary scope includes OSP, Construction and Field Operations teams: Ensure best practices are being followed, in particular related to: Accuracy of designs going from OSP to the Construction or Field Ops teams as well as monitoring performance and creating an effective feedback loop Oversee communication of upcoming construction projects, providing context and visibility allowing Construction and Field Ops teams to operate in the most efficient manner possible Work with the functional teams to make sure there are agreed upon design & construction standards Develop and manage a process that validates construction projects deemed as 'complete' meet internal design standards as well as applicable industry, municipal and state requirements/specifications. Relative to Dispatch and NOC interactions: Develop a process in conjunction with the Dispatch Team to assist in the most effective identification and reallocation of field resources (Construction or Field Operations) when confronted with an 'at risk' customer drop and/or installation Develop a process in conjunction with the NOC to assist in the most effective identification and reallocation of field resources (Construction or Field Operations) in response to an extreme or non-standard network trouble and/or repair event(s)
Requirements:
Strong understanding of outside plant (OSP), construction, field operations, and telecommunications project workflows. Knowledge of design, construction, and installation standards related to fiber optics. Ability to evaluate design accuracy and ensure successful handoff between OSP, Construction, and Field Operations teams. Experience developing, implementing, and improving cross-functional processes and operational workflows. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and field-related operational demands. Ability to analyze issues, identify process gaps, and implement practical solutions that improve efficiency and service delivery. Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across engineering, construction, field operations, dispatch, and NOC teams. Ability to create accountability measures, performance feedback, and quality validation processes. Familiarity with applicable industry standards, municipal requirements, and state regulations related to telecommunications construction and field operations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other operational systems used to track projects, workflows, and resource allocation.
Education and Experience:
Associate's degree in Telecommunications, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, Business, or a related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred. Equivalent combination of education, technical training, and relevant industry experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Minimum of 5 years of experience in telecommunications, OSP construction, field operations, network operations, or a related operational environment. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a role involving cross-functional coordination, process improvement, project oversight, or operational leadership. Experience working with construction standards, field execution, and quality control processes in a telecommunications environment. Experience coordinating with Dispatch and/or Network Operations Center (NOC) teams to support resource allocation, escalation response, and service restoration efforts. Demonstrated experience developing standard operating procedures, workflow improvements, or compliance validation processes. Experience interpreting and applying construction drawings, network designs, and operational standards preferred. Prior experience in fiber optic network deployment, service delivery, or broadband operations strongly preferred.
Working Conditions:
This position operates in both office and field environments and requires regular collaboration with construction, field operations, dispatch, and network operations teams. Occasional travel to field sites is required. The role may require flexibility to address urgent operational issues, escalated service events, or critical project timelines outside of standard business hours.
Pay Range:
$90,000-$115,000 per year depending on experience
