About The Position Ameren Missouri is developing a robust capital execution plan with significant capital expenditures in Nuclear with over $140M forecasted annually. The Manager, Nuclear Project Controls supervises a team of employees and contractors to plan, schedule, organize, support, audit, report, and control project costs. In addition, the Manager will work with Engineers and Project Managers to help ensure compliance with Project Management procedures and processes.Key responsibilities include:
Lead a team responsible for project schedules, analyze scope change and modification change requests, analyze progress and productivity and reporting; and assess procedure compliance on major projects. Support and provide assistance to project teams as they progress from project initiation through management review, Gate Approval Boards, andSLPOC/CPOC
reviews. Monitor and enforce standards, policies and procedures established by Ameren Corporation and regulatory entities as they pertain to planning and execution of major projects. Actively contribute to initiatives that help continuously improve the workgroup in areas such as budget compliance, project management procedures and activities, software applications, co-worker engagement, diversity and inclusion, and others that emerge in the organization. Facilitate Callaway capital budget reviews to identify and rank wait-list projects for future consideration in alignment with annual budget targets. Collaborate with Financial Services for monthly capital reporting and report status to Callaway senior leaders. Analyze and report project health metrics in support of Callaway Business Plan objectives. Identify improvement opportunities with project management methods or techniques. Manage in accordance with guidelines set forth in Callaway Energy Center processes and procedures Support the safe, legal and efficient operations of Callaway Energy Center in full compliance with licensing requirements and with site and corporate project management procedures Assure the Callaway corrective action program is utilized to address issues as they arise Assure development of contracts, purchase specification, analysis and implementation documentation is done is a quality manner that is compliant with applicable procedures, codes and standards Ensure field implementation activities are compliant with applicable procedures, codes and standards Ensure personnel safety standards are appropriate and followed Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, or related discipline from an accredited University required. MBA or advanced certification in Project Management, such as Project Management Professional (PMP) orAACE PSP
certification preferred. Seven or more years of relevant professional level experience in project management, planning, scheduling, budgeting, audit or forecasting required. Three or more years of supervisory or high-level team/project leadership experience required. Working knowledge of Ameren. Proficiency with financial applications such as OTTC, Poweplan, PCM and Microsoft Office programs required. Quality Management and Project Management Procedures preferred. Experience with EMPRV, TRIS, PeopleSoft, Unifier, OPPM, Primavera P6, UIP, PowerPlan, and IMR preferred. In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate: Knowledge of power plant equipment, maintenance, engineering, operations, and construction practices preferred. Good organizational, problem-solving, analytical, effective communication and team-building skills. Must demonstrate a high degree of initiative, be results-driven with the ability to meet stringent deadlines and focus on details. Must be focused on continuous improvement. Ability to demonstrate integrity and stewardship of Company resources required. Additional Information Ameren's selection process includes a series of interviews and may include a leadership assessment process.
