Job Description

Sanborn Mills Farm - Loudon, NH Sanborn Mills Farm is seeking a dynamic, creative, and highly collaborative communications leader to shape and amplify the voice of a nationally distinctive nonprofit working farm and craft school. This is not a typical communications role. Set on a historic campus with working mills, studios, and agricultural systems, Sanborn Mills Farm is a place where materials move from land to hand—and where education, making, and community come together through real work. We are looking for someone who can translate that work into powerful storytelling, visual media, and public engagement. What You'll Do Lead brand, communications, and storytelling strategy Create compelling content (writing, photography, video, design) Manage website and digital platforms (registration, e-commerce, CRM) Build and maintain a digital media library and institutional archive Support and help coordinate public events and campus engagement Partner on fundraising communications and donor storytelling Expand visibility through media, press, and partnerships What Makes This Role Unique Deeply embedded in a working farm and craft environment Combines strategy + hands-on creative production Integrates communications, events, and institutional storytelling Opportunity to shape the public identity of a growing, mission-driven organization What We're Looking For 5-8+ years of experience in communications, marketing, design or related field Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience Strong verbal and visual communication skills Experience with media, press, and digital platforms Ability to manage multiple systems and projects simultaneously Experience in nonprofit, arts, education, or mission-driven work preferred Most importantly, we're looking for someone who: Brings a collaborative spirit and positive energy Takes initiative and ownership of their work Engages people thoughtfully and communicates clearly Thrives in a hands-on, dynamic environment Work Environment Full-time, on-site role (5 days/week) in Loudon, NH Occasional evenings and weekends for events
