E06 Position Summary The Student Recruitment and Outreach Manager is responsible for coordinating recruitment and outreach initiatives targeting a diverse range of prospective students, including elementary and middle school students, dual credit students, first-time freshmen, new and returning transfer students, as well as underserved populations such as system-impacted students including those from foster care, incarcerated or formerly incarcerated backgrounds. Duties & Responsibilities Supervises staff and student ambassadors, which includes prioritizing and assigning work; conducting performance evaluations; ensuring staff is trained; ensuring employees follow policies and procedures; maintaining a healthy and safe working environment; and making hiring, termination, and disciplinary recommendations. Identifies, directs, and assists in promoting public affairs and strategic community outreach programs and sales-related efforts designed to introduce programs. Collaborates with staff to identify and utilize subject matter experts to promote and recruit for programs. Maintains working relationships with program staff to compile and disseminate program information. Maintains focus on recruiting students into programs. Plans, organizes, and executes various on- and off-campus events, recurring and as needed, including scheduling and conducting campus tours. May assist with managing the college mascot. Assists and maintains communication with prospective students throughout the admissions application and onboarding process. Produces and presents written and oral presentations and other content to diverse groups, including potential students, employers, industry leaders, and various community stakeholder organizations. Works closely with academic departments, sales, program, and marketing teams to analyze and continually refine and implement successful strategies to reach and recruit various populations into programs. Represents CNM and programs at public events, sometimes working outside regular hours. Manages assigned areas of responsibility, involving developing and maintaining positive relationships with key stakeholders, including parents, secondary and postsecondary schools, and community organizations. Assists with documentation and analysis of student recruitment and outreach efforts. Identifies and seeks opportunities to collaborate with local companies and interest groups to increase partnerships and create pipelines for recruitment and placement of program completers. Building networking relationships with industry stakeholders to create understanding and involvement at the programmatic level to develop and maintain industry-driven competencies. May plan, organize, and execute New Student Orientation presentations, develop new orientations, make updates or improvements for existing orientations, and work with the online platform that houses the online orientations. Demonstrated ability in critical thinking, tolerance of ambiguity, and strong interpersonal skills. Performs other related duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and two (2) years' of combined experience in Sales, Marketing, Outreach, Higher Education, Public Relations, and/or Event Planning. OR Associates degree and four (4) years' experience in Sales, Marketing, Outreach, Higher Education, Public Relations, and/or Event Planning.Preferences:
One (1) year experience in financial aid Demonstrates experience in facilitating presentations and/or workshops Knowledge of and experience with Title IV Federal Regulations related to verification, awarding, and disbursing of federal financial aid, state regulations, and scholarships Experience using software tools and databases (Banner, Salesforce, OnBase, Argos)Best Consideration Date:
