    UPMC UPMC
    is looking for a full-time Manager to support Supply Chain Management Operations at the Oakland Campus. This position works Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:00pm with off-shifts/weekends as needed. The position could involve work between multiple facilities on the Oakland campus. You can enjoy the new Kamin tower's exciting features, such as The Grove - a four-level area offering amenities such as a spiritual center, educational spaces, and a restaurant - along with beautiful local artwork showcased throughout the hospital.     Purpose:
    The Materials Management Manager is responsible for the supervision and coordination of all materials management functions within the assigned business unit(s). This includes distribution, PAR stock inventory management and replenishment, receiving, and delivering and stocking of supplies and equipment. Additionally, this position is responsible for the hiring, training, and evaluation of all materials management employees within their assigned business unit(s).
    Responsibilities:
    + Select, evaluate, develop, train, motivate and counsel subordinates in accordance with system competencies/behaviors. + Act as Primary Contact for Product Recall for Business Unit, in accordance with UPMC Product Recall Policy. + Promote patient safety and maintain the department in a clean and organized fashion. + Provide leadership to local hospital materials management employees in order to provide timely deliveries of supplies. + Coordinate with Corporate SCM and the Business Unit Clinical Staff in product standardization efforts and in the introduction of new products approved via the
    UPMC SCM
    Value Analysis process. + Maintain a working knowledge of the inventory system (Peoplesoft). + Develop and foster a strong working relationship between hospital operations and
    UPMC SCM
    ; maintain open communications between local hospital and
    UPMC SCM
    for ordering and delivering of supplies. + Direct the work of materials management staff, monitor daily schedules and adjust staffing levels according to needs. + Analyze Par Cart reports and make appropriate recommendations to Department Managers. + Determine product mix and Par Stock quantities in consultation with Business Unit end users and UPMC Corporate SCM. + Develop new Par Locations, optimizing space and workflow. + Coordinate distribution activities among Business Units and Departments; resolve conflicting needs; provide guidance to prioritize needs. Ensures all subordinates are aware of appropriate policies and procedures. + Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain Management or related field and 2 years of related work experience required. + Or Equivalent Education & Experience + Previous managerial or supervisory experience required. + Problem solving and analytical skills required. + Ability to manage change in a busy environment required. + Healthcare experience preferred. + Computer proficiency of various business software packages including Peoplesoft and MSOffice is preferred.
    Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
    One or more professional certification(s) in Supply Chain or Operations Management such as C.P.M., CPIM, CSCP, CPSM, SPSM, etc. is preferred.
