Job Description
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Under the supervision of the Senior Director of Land Management and Conservation, participates in the development of both short and long-range wildlife management goals, research projects, and controlled hunts. Responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the successful completion of assigned projects within predetermined guidelines. Must be familiar with the principles and procedures of wildlife management and research. Will have extensive contact with a variety of public individuals and groups. Responsible for implementing wildlife programs for tribal members. Conduct audio and visual wildlife surveys, day/night. May be required to plant food plots, mow, build/repair fences, road maintenance, and control or eliminate nuisance species. QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree from a 4-year college or university; or six (6) years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. At least four (4) years of experience in a related field. Must meet and maintain pre-employment and periodic background investigation and adjudication for childcare.COMPETENCIES

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS A
valid driver's license. Must be able to pass an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) safety course within six (6) months of employment.OTHER REQUIREMENTS
