The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience operating manual machine tools and performing precision machining work with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate manual vertical and horizontal mills, engine and turret lathes, and surface grinders.
  • Machine parts to tight tolerances, including the ability to consistently hold ±0.0005" when required.
  • Read, interpret, and work from detailed engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Perform precision measurement and inspection using micrometers, vernier calipers, dial indicators, and gage pins/blocks in both metric and English units.
  • Assist with precision assembly tasks as needed.
  • Maintain equipment, follow safety procedures, and keep a clean, organized workspace.
  • Work independently with limited supervision while meeting quality and delivery requirements.
Qualifications:
  • 15+ years of manual machining experience required.
  • Proficiency in mills, lathes, and grinding equipment.
  • CNC setup experience is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of machining practices, cutting tools, feeds and speeds, and material properties.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Compensation & Benefits
  • Hourly pay: $24.00-$35.00, based on experience and skill level.
