The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machining processes and a keen attention to detail. This role involves operating various types of machinery, interpreting technical drawings, and ensuring high-quality production standards. The Manual Machinist will contribute to the creation of precision components while adhering to safety and quality protocols. Responsibilities Operate manual lathes, mills, and other machining equipment to produce precision parts. Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine specifications and tolerances. Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and bore gauges to ensure accuracy. Perform CNC programming for CNC lathes and milling machines when required. Conduct electrical discharge machining (EDM) as needed for specific projects. Collaborate with engineering teams using SolidWorks and CAD software for design modifications. Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition. Implement lean manufacturing principles to improve efficiency and reduce waste. Assist in assembly processes and utilize hand tools and power tools for various tasks. Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment. Requirements Proven experience as a Manual Machinist with a strong understanding of machining processes. Proficiency in CNC programming, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), CAM programming, and familiarity with Fanuc controls. Solid mechanical knowledge with experience in manufacturing environments. Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately. Basic math skills for calculations related to machining tasks. Experience with plastics injection molding is a plus. Familiarity with coordinate measuring machines (CMM) for quality control checks is desirable. Capability to operate forklifts safely when necessary. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential. Previous experience in welding is advantageous but not mandatory.
