Manual Machinist

•Prior experience is preferred, however no experience is OK. We are willing to train the right individual who has interest in precision machinery•

Responsibilities:

­ Operates and maintains manual and numerically controlled OD and ID grinding machines ­ Reviews drawings, instructions, blueprints to ensure accurate production ­ Takes precise measurements using micrometers, snap gages, gage blocks, indicators, dial bore gages, etc. Typical tolerances to be held are .001", but tolerances of .0005" to .0002" are not uncommon. ­ Selects appropriate machine, equipment, and settings for a given task ­ Plans proper sequence of tasks to complete the job ­ Monitors production, adjusting machine settings as necessary ­ Maintains inventory of completed products ­ Maintains a safe and clean workstation ­ Identifies need for and performs machine maintenance and minor repairs ­ Inspect customer orders incoming and outgoing

Qualifications:

­ Mechanical experience ­ Machining experience ­ Proficient in math ­ Strong attention to detail ­ Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive tasks

$50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
