Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Manufacturing Engineer to join our team and drive excellence in our manufacturing processes. In this role, you will be responsible for optimizing production workflows, improving manufacturing efficiency, and ensuring the highest quality standards across our manufacturing facility. Duties Evaluate manufacturing processes by designing and conducting programs; applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors and soliciting input from operators. Design and build appropriate fixtures necessary for efficient and cost effective manufacturing. Assure product and process quality by designing assembly and testing methods; testing finished- product and process capabilities; establishing standards in conjunction with the Industrial Engineer and confirming manufacturing processes Maintain equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services; implementing a Production Maintenance program, following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures; requesting special service. Identify opportunities or implement changes to improve products or reduce costs using knowledge of fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment, assembly methods, quality control standards, or product design. Determine root causes of failures using statistical methods and recommend changes in designs, tolerances, or processing methods. Manage capital projects ensuring delivery and budget requirements are met. Review product designs for manufacturability or completeness. Provide technical expertise or support related to manufacturing during design review and development. Troubleshoot new or existing product problems involving designs, materials, or processes. Establish the processes and routings to handle discrepant material, returned products (RMAs),and internal jobs to be reworked. Development of PFMEA's, Quality documentation and Quality checks to ensure effective release of new products to production. Coordinate and supervise the Process Validation Run (PV) of new products released to manufacturing. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related field with strong mechanical knowledge. Ability to design, develop, implement and improve integrated systems that included people, materials, information, equipment and cost. Must be detail oriented and able to promote safety in all processes Must be able to perform root cause analysis to determine cause and solutions to various technical manufacturing issues. To perform this job successfully, an individual should have an intermediate skill level with Microsoft Project, Database software/Access, Excel, and Word software. This position requires an intermediate to advanced skill level with Solid works or fixture design. Six Sigma knowledge is a plus.
