Job Summary:

The Manufacturing Support Specialist is responsible for processing all engineering and mechanical changes to machine after initial release, including adds, deletes and re-works, for putting together reports that assure machine bills are correct and for processing non-costed parts. This position will be required to interact extensively with the key customers. Job Responsibilities & Essential Functions of the

Job:

Review and update records when machine designs are changed, removed, or revised by the engineering team. Handle and track parts or materials that are rejected during the manufacturing process. Investigate rejected parts to determine the cause of the issue, decide what should happen next, and arrange replacement parts if needed. Send the necessary paperwork to purchasing or production teams so replacement materials or parts can be ordered quickly. Help the warehouse team investigate and correct inventory count differences or missing items. Issue parts and materials to employees and receive them back into inventory when needed. Create work orders for repairs or modifications to existing products or parts. Create work orders that guide the manufacturing team through production processes. Coordinate the release of new engineering designs into production and operations. Establish expected production timelines for newly designed parts. Adjust and reschedule work orders based on production capacity and changing manufacturing schedules.

Occasional Job Responsibilities:

Assist in picking shop orders as needed. Address questions from warehouse on item maintenance transactions. Assist in the issuing of material to major jobs.

Job Requirements:

Requires education generally equivalent to a High School Diploma. Requires 2-3 years of relevant experience. Requires mathematical skills that require the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide and perform metric conversions. Requires good oral and written communication skills in order to interact with employees. Must be able to read and understand shipping, receiving, purchasing, engineering and machine shop paperwork. Requires a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications. Must have ability to develop, write and follow procedures Must be able to collaborate with others (including in person) to proactively develop solutions.
