Job Title:
Manufacturing Technician Job Description The Manufacturing Technician assembles and finishes precision parts and subassemblies in a production environment, following detailed work instructions and drawings. This role prepares, bonds, drills, and reworks components to meet strict quality standards, while using a variety of hand and power tools. The position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to follow written processes accurately, and a commitment to producing high-quality work. Responsibilities Assemble parts and subassemblies according to detailed work instructions and engineering drawings. Prepare parts for bonding by cleaning, aligning, and masking components to ensure proper fit and adhesion. Apply adhesives and perform plastic bonding operations with accuracy and consistency. Drill precision holes using hand tools while maintaining strict positional accuracy and tolerances. Finish parts by trimming, sanding, deburring, and cleaning to achieve required specifications and cosmetic standards. Rework components to correct defects, improve fit, or meet updated specifications as needed. Inspect parts for workmanship, alignment, fit, and cosmetic quality throughout the production process. Follow written instructions, process steps, and production documentation accurately and completely. Communicate issues related to parts, tooling, materials, or processes to appropriate team members in a timely manner. Maintain a clean and organized work area to support safe and efficient production operations. Essential Skills At least 1 year of experience in manufacturing, aerospace, cabinetry, model making, automotive trim, or other detailed assembly environments. Proficiency using basic hand tools such as drills, files, sanders, and deburring tools. Experience using power tools safely and effectively in a production or assembly setting. Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with general labor and production tasks. Demonstrated ability to perform deburring, cleaning, and finishing operations on parts and assemblies. Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce precise, high-quality work. Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions and process steps accurately. Willingness to learn new tasks and perform a variety of duties as production needs change. Ability to stand for extended periods during the shift. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as part of daily work activities. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working in detailed assembly environments such as aerospace components, cabinetry, model making, or automotive trim. Comfort working with adhesives and plastic bonding processes. Ability to perform visual inspections for workmanship, alignment, and cosmetic quality. Strong communication skills to report issues with parts, tooling, or processes. Flexibility to support rework and continuous improvement activities in production. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Belgrade, MT. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $31.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
