Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic Forge Operator-Blacksmith to join our team and contribute to the creation of precision metal components for critical aerospace and defense projects. In this role, you will operate forging equipment, utilize blacksmithing techniques, and ensure the highest standards of quality and safety. Your expertise will help us push the boundaries of materials performance and support our mission to solve complex challenges through innovative manufacturing. Responsibilities Operate forging equipment such as press brake machines, stamping presses, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, plasma cutters, and electrical discharge machining tools to shape and form metal components. Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications to ensure precise fabrication. Use hand tools, tooling, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and quality standards during production. Perform welding operations utilizing various techniques to assemble or repair metal parts according to specifications. Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols involving cranes, forklifts, sheet metal handling, and other heavy machinery. Conduct quality inspections throughout the manufacturing process to ensure adherence to strict tolerances and specifications. Support fabrication processes by utilizing CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting, CNC programming, and machining skills for efficient production flow. Experience Proven experience operating forging equipment such as press brakes, stamping presses, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, plasma cutters, or electrical discharge machining tools. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in manufacturing environments involving blueprint reading and precision measurement. Familiarity with welding techniques and fabrication processes is highly desirable. Ability to work with hand tools and tooling for assembly and finishing tasks. Knowledge of safety procedures related to crane operation, forklift handling, and heavy machinery use.
