Job Summary:

This posting is for a pooled position. Application submissions for "[POOL]" positions are accepted on an ongoing basis to ensure a continuous and ready pool of qualified candidates for immediate review when the need arises. If/when a position becomes available, the College will review applications from this pool, and interview candidates whose qualifications best match the specific opening. Applicants must reapply to the pool annually to maintain their active status in the pool. Teach a variety of Welding classes including Basic Print Reading, Welding Fabrication, and Arc Welding. Initial assignment will include emphasis on fabrications projects.

Essential Duties:

Teach classes. Instruction to industry standards. Grading and assessment of student written and lab work. Work as a team member of department and deliver curriculum as determined by the chair and faculty. Maintain equipment and facilities. Manage students in a learning environment. Deliver appropriate safety related instruction. Perform other professional duties as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

Completion of a journey program in welding, pipefitting or mechanical maintenance trade involving significant welding experience, plus an additional five or more years full-time journey level experience in welding, metal fabrications and layout. Applicants with an associate's degree in welding or related field, completion of a journey program and three years journey level experience will also be considered.
