Cabinet Maker
Job Description:
JOB SUMMARY
Fabricate cabinets supporting aircraft delivery using construction skills while adhering to procedures and guidelines.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent. Experience in carpentry work or related fabrication experience. Proficiency in setting up and operating all standard equipment or tools. Basic computer skills. Good working knowledge of math and geometry. Ability to work in confined spaces. Capability to lift and transport up to 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation. Visual capacity and muscular dexterity to work on fine detail, high-cost products with minimal errors and rework.
ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Cabinet fabrication experience. Problem-solving skills. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Typical factory environment. May work in areas with high noise levels. Must be able to work with the companys approved adhesives and chemicals and exposed to cabinet shop sanding dust.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
(ESSENTIAL
FUNCTIONS
): Interpret 3D design data, digital industrialization company standards, and perform necessary calculations using shop math to complete and install subassemblies. Modify completed assemblies and sub-assemblies. Perform checks of fabricated items. Select and apply proper glues, adhesives, and hardware. Install completed cabinet assembly or components using brackets, metal reinforcements, and angles. Maintain a clean and organized work area (Supports 5S). Complete tasks within assigned time limits. Determine work to be accomplished to complete assignments within established schedules and plan accordingly. Accurately launch and close operations for proper data collection for time tracking and traceability. Lead and train other personnel on specific job assignments as directed by supervision. Work in a safe manner in accordance with OSHA and company safety procedures. Set up and operate standard shop equipment. Perform laminating tasks for cabinetry and related items or parts.
