Job Description
Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Cabinet Sander / Paint Prep technician to join our manufacturing team. This role involves preparing cabinetry for finishing by sanding, smoothing surfaces and taping/masking areas when and where needed. The ideal candidate will have experience with similar work, hand and power tools, and a strong understanding of construction and finishing processes in regards to working with wood is ideal. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment focused on craftsmanship and precision. Responsibilities Sand cabinet and door surfaces using hand tools and power sanders to achieve smooth finishes suitable for painting or staining Prepare surfaces by cleaning and masking. Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper disposal of debris and dust control measures Operate various hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards Requirements Prior experience in cabinetry, woodworking, or finishing industry preferred Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and sanding equipment used in furniture or cabinet manufacturing Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control in surface preparation and finishing processes
