Paid Time Off (PTO) About Lion Craft We manufacture and install high-end, custom furniture and architectural millwork for bars, nightclubs, and restaurants (booths, tables, high-impact bar tops, lighting, and wall fixtures). We need a hands-on, field-based Installation Manager to run our installation department. This is a role for a master craftsman or finish carpenter who has a thick skin, commands respect, and is ready to completely own our field operations. The Reality of This Role This is not a passive desk job. We need a decisive leader who isn't afraid to push back when timelines, logistics, or plans don't align with reality on the ground. Field operations can be chaotic, timelines shift, and internal production pressures are real. Your job is to be the final line of defense for quality. You must be able to hold people accountable, push back against unrealistic schedules or poor management choices, and fiercely advocate for your field crew to ensure the job is done right.
Key Responsibilities Field Leadership:
Supervise, schedule, and dispatch installation teams across multiple commercial sites. Troubleshoot on-site issues and answer field calls from your crew.
Project Layouts:
Interpret blueprints, architectural drawings, and sketches to plan field layouts.
Logistics:
Create material lists, procure supplies before install days, and keep installation kits/tools stocked.
Cross-Functional Pushback:
Partner with designers and production teams to solve fabrication challenges and ensure schedules are realistic and respected.
Client Relations:
Serve as the firm, professional on-site contact for clients and general contractors under high-pressure situations.
Quality Control:
Conduct on-site quality checks. Pick up tools and perform hands-on finish carpentry alongside your team when necessary. Qualifications & Requirements 5+ years of experience in finish carpentry, custom cabinetry, or architectural millwork. Proven track record of managing and training a construction or installation crew.
Technical Skills:
Ability to read complex blueprints. Proficiency in CAD programs is required ( SketchUp highly preferred).
Material Mastery:
Solid understanding of installing wood, metal, and upholstery.
Traits:
Sharp organizational skills, highly autonomous, and completely unshakable under pressure.
Logistics:
Valid driver's license with a clean, insurable record. Ability to occasionally travel. Must pass background check and drug screening.

$60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
