Job Description

Millwork Shop Craftsman - Architectural Millwork & Custom Cabinetry We are looking for an experienced, hands-on shop craftsman with a strong background in finish carpentry, custom cabinetry, and architectural millwork for both commercial and residential projects. This is a full-time, in-shop position focused on precision fabrication, custom builds, and in-line assembly. What You'll Do
  • Fabricate architectural millwork and custom cabinetry components to exacting standards for commercial and residential projects
  • Operate and maintain all shop equipment including panel saws, shapers, planer/jointer, edgebander, and a full range of power hand tools
  • Process and work hardwoods and veneers; milling, sizing, matching, and finishing materials to tight tolerances
  • Read and interpret shop drawings, architectural blueprints, and renderings to build components accurately and independently
  • Perform in-line assembly of cabinetry and millwork systems as part of a structured shop production workflow
  • Apply precise measurements and calculations to ensure clean fits, minimal waste, and high-quality outcomes
  • Manage multiple jobs simultaneously on the shop floor, prioritizing effectively to meet demanding production deadlines
  • Communicate clearly with other departments when components are completed and ready to move to the next stage of production
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in full compliance with shop safety guidelines
  • Be available for overtime and weekends when project deadlines require it What You Bring
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in an architectural millwork or custom cabinetry shop setting
  • Deep expertise in finish carpentry and cabinet making joinery, face frames, doors, drawer boxes, crown, and custom architectural elements
  • Proficiency with all standard shop machinery and hand tools
  • Strong knowledge of hardwood species, veneer selection, grain matching, and proper material handling
  • Ability to read and follow complex shop drawings and architectural blueprints without supervision
  • A sharp problem-solving mindset with extreme attention to detail; you catch mistakes before they become problems
  • The physical stamina to stand, move, and lift 50+ lbs. throughout a full production shift
  • A consistent record of reliable attendance and punctuality, the shop schedule depends on it
  • Clear, direct communication with coworkers and across departments Work Environment This is an in-shop production role on the floor every day.
