Full Job Description Schedule:
Full-time, Monday•Thursday, 6:00 AM•4:30 PM. Overtime may be required on Fridays as needed. Wedgewood Cabinetry is seeking a master benchman for custom cabinetry. Applicants MUST have +3 years experience with custom high end cabinetry to be considered. This is one of the most experienced position in the factory!
Master Benchman Duties:
Fabricate custom cabinets and millwork according to specifications Work with Corian, laminate veneer, Formica, Chemetal and similar materials per specifications Read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings Work closely with the Engineering team to ensure accurate final product fabrication Suggest changes that could improve quality, efficiency, and safety to production manager before or during jobs Communicate progress, challenges, or changes effectively with team members Install all commonly used hardware including Blum, Rev-a-Shelf, Hafele, Vauth Sagel Operate all shop fabrication equipment at a high level Maintain tools and keep a clean, organized workbench Complete all tasks safely and with proper
PPE Requirements:
3+ years experience with high-end cabinet assembly and millwork fabrication Team-player and positive attitude required Able to communicate in a professional manner Attention to detail and accuracy Strong knowledge of wood properties and cabinet making techniques Ability to meet tight deadlines without compromising work quality Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and execute them without supervision Proficient in using all hand and power tools for cutting, shaping, and assembling materials at a high level Experience in cabinet installation, installation may be required on a as needed basis. Most of your time will be spent in the shop. Must have strong problem solving abilities Ability to lift 80 pounds and stand for 9 hours Forklift experience a plus but not required Ability to work overtime when required
