Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and skilled Cabinet Installer / Maker to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting, assembling, and installing custom cabinets and related woodwork with precision and craftsmanship. Other times, you will reface the existing cabinetry. Your expertise will contribute to transforming spaces through high-quality woodworking and installation, ensuring client satisfaction and adherence to project specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing your carpentry skills and construction knowledge. Responsibilities Measure, cut, assemble, and fabricate custom cabinets and wood fixtures. Read blueprints, schematics, and/or detailed drawings to accurately execute design plans. Install cabinets, doors, drawers and drawer slides, crown and light valance, plus additional components on-site with precision. Conduct heavy lifting and maneuvering of materials safely while maintaining strict safety standards. Collaborate with project managers and clients to ensure specifications are met and projects stay on schedule. Maintain a clean and organized workspace at both the shop and the jobsite. Qualifications Proven experience in cabinet making, installation, or related carpentry roles within the construction or restoration industry. Skilled in using power tools for fabrication, assembly, and installation tasks. Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical drawings. Ability to lift 70 lb. materials safely; physically fit for demanding tasks involving heavy lifting or long periods of standing. Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail; capable of working independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments. Must be a legal citizen of the US or have a valid green card. Must be able to work as a subcontractor - this is not an hourly position at this time. Experience with various construction disciplines including framing (wooden or metal), drywall, flooring installation, tile laying, plumbing, electrical work, or painting is a plus, but not required.
