Job Description
Our client is currently seeking an experienced Cabinet Finisher to join their team in Orlando, FL. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in fine-finish carpentry, cabinet refinishing, wood coatings, and professional spray applications. The selected candidate will play an important role in producing high-quality finished cabinetry while helping guide small crews through daily project tasks. The Day-to-Day:
Overseeing sanding, cleaning, masking openings, and removing cabinet doors to ensure proper paint and coating adhesion Safely operating airless and HVLP spray equipment to apply primers, stains, sealers, toners, and topcoats Applying finishes evenly and thoroughly while maintaining a clean, professional appearance on all completed work Monitoring coating thickness and checking surfaces for runs, streaks, blisters, or other imperfections Inspecting finished products to confirm they meet high-end craftsmanship expectations Training junior staff members on proper preparation, finishing, and cleanup techniques Directing 2-3 person crews and supporting daily project logistics Managing work schedules, task flow, and project timelines throughout the day Cleaning spray guns, fluid lines, and pressure pots after each shift Maintaining spray booth filters and keeping the work area safe, organized, and production-ready Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required 5+ years of professional experience in fine-finish carpentry, painting, cabinet finishing, or cabinet refinishing Strong knowledge of wood coatings, including lacquer, conversion varnish, waterborne enamels, primers, stains, sealers, toners, and topcoats Experience working with pressure gauges, spray gun tip sizes, airless systems, and HVLP spray equipment Ability to identify and correct finish defects such as runs, streaks, blisters, uneven coverage, or adhesion issues Excellent color matching skills and strong visual attention to detail Basic math skills for measurements, mixing ratios, and material use Ability to stand and walk for long periods during the shift Comfortable performing repetitive motions in a workshop or jobsite setting Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Able to work in varying indoor, workshop, or on-site temperature conditions Strong leadership skills with the ability to train junior team members and guide small crews Pay Rate:
$23.00 to $25.00 per hour Schedule:
