Job Description

The expected pay range for a Cabinet Assembly Specialist in Hilo is $19.25 - $22.10 per hour. HPM Building Supply is seeking to hire a full-time Cabinet Assembly Specialist at our Distribution Center in Hilo, Hawaii. The Cabinet Assembly Specialist is responsible for assembling high‑quality kitchen cabinets, vanities, and specialty storage units that meet HPM's quality, safety, and customer expectations. This role transforms raw components and flat‑pack materials into finished cabinetry through precise assembly, attention to detail, and adherence to shop drawings. The Cabinet Assembly Specialist supports HPM's commitment to craftsmanship, efficiency, and a great customer experience. The typical schedule is Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 4:00 pm
QUALIFICATIONS
Previous experience in a cabinet shop, furniture manufacturing, woodworking, or finish carpentry preferred but not required Experience with CNC equipment or specialized assembly clamps is preferred Solid understanding of wood grain, material types (plywood, MDF, solid wood, thermofoil), and hardware components is a plus Knowledge of basic cabinet construction methods and wood assembly techniques Ability to accurately read a tape measure to the 1/16th of an inch Ability to lift 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
