This hands-on position is responsible for modifying, repairing, refurbishing, and fabricating aircraft cabinets.
Responsibilities of this position include:
Disassemble and reassemble aircraft cabinetry Fabricate high quality cabinetry, divans, ledges, etc. and other wood-surfaced subassemblies Read and execute shop drawings and blue prints Strip laminate or veneer coverings from existing cabinets without damaging substrates Cut, fit and trim laminate or veneer coverings as required Repair damaged cabinetry as directed Repair damaged interior panels as directed Keeps work area clean and safe Other duties as assigned Top candidates will possess: Willingness to work on a team with both experienced technicians and mentor junior technicians with a calm demeanor Ability to communicate well in straightforward situations Organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to maintain a safe and clean work environment Excellent workmanship aptitude and a desire to initiate improvements
Pay Range:
$20.00 - $35.00 per hour. Individual pay rates are determined by verifiable experience and technical proficiency demonstrated during the interview process. Candidates with specific aircraft cabinetry or high-end finish experience are highly encouraged to apply.
Other requirements include:
High school diploma or equivalent Ability to attain and retain AOA badge or Airport requirements Cabinetry, Finish, or Paint experience preferred
