Skokie, IL Job Details Full-time $28.86 - $34.76 an hour 2 days ago Qualifications Fabrication Drywall Driver's License Concrete forming Welding Frame carpentry Full Job Description Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Hardscape Installation Specialist in our Design & Build division! In this energetic role, you will be at the forefront of transforming outdoor spaces by expertly installing and fabricating hardscape elements such as pavers, stonework, retaining walls, and decorative features. Your hands-on expertise will help bring innovative landscape designs to life, creating stunning environments that inspire and delight clients. This position offers a vibrant work environment where your craftsmanship and attention to detail will shine, contributing directly to the beauty and functionality of outdoor living spaces. Duties Install various hardscape components including pavers, stonework, concrete forms, and masonry features with precision and efficiency Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and detailed construction plans to ensure accurate installation Operate power tools and hand tools safely to cut, shape, and assemble materials on-site Fabricate custom elements such as concrete forms or decorative features to match project specifications Coordinate with project managers and other trades to ensure timely completion of installations while maintaining safety standards Conduct site inspections to verify quality control, adherence to schematics, and proper material placement Assist in the setup of heavy equipment for excavation or material transport when necessary Perform finishing tasks such as caulking, sealing, or applying surface treatments to enhance durability and appearance Skills Extensive experience with hardscape installation techniques including masonry, concrete finishing, tile laying, and stucco application Proficiency in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction estimating processes Strong knowledge of construction management principles and construction site safety protocols Skilled in operating power tools, heavy equipment, and hand tools safely on construction sites Familiarity with plumbing, electrical systems, roofing, framing carpentry, drywall installation, and restoration work is a plus Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately for precise installation work Experience with glass installation, cabinet installation, door hanging, flooring installation, plastering, welding or other related trades is advantageous Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting onsite challenges Strong communication skills for collaborating effectively with team members and clients Join us in crafting exceptional outdoor spaces where creativity meets craftsmanship!
