The main purpose of this position is to assist the District Court Cabinet Maker in the finishing and renovating of various components of District Court facilities that involve cabinet making. This position will assist the Cabinet Maker particularly in cabinet finish work on judge?s dais, witness boxes, railings, courtroom clerk?s stations, cabinets, benches, and custom design and fabrication of needed items.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assists the District Court Cabinet Maker in all aspects of cabinetry work. Design, fabricate, and install custom millwork. Low voltage wiring, electrical, plumbing, HVAC repairs. Troubleshoot problems; recommend solutions. Other duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma (or GED equivalent).Experience:
Basic cabinetry and millwork. Licenses and/orCertificates:
Valid Driver?sLicense Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of:
Cabinetry and millwork. Electric, plumbing, and HVAC.Skill in:
Designing and constructing custom fabrications. Reading and interpreting plans and designs. Problem solving and decision making.Ability to:
Communicate effectively with District Court personnel and building owners. Understand and follow written and verbal instructions. Analyze, design, procure materials, and fabricate projects. Assist the District Court Cabinet Maker with required projects.Physical Requirements:
Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.Equipment, Machinery and Tools:
Gloves, safety goggles, dust masks are required for cutting and drilling. Insulated tools are required for electrical work. Rubber gloves and respirators are required for staining and finishing. Hand tools, power tools, planer, jointer, table saw, radial arm saw, band saw, sliding table saw, line bore machine, shaper, edge sander, wide belt sander, drill press, metal lathe, paint guns, edge bander, pocket hole machine, jig saw, miter saw, digital scale.
