Cabinetry Installer Job Description The Cabinetry Installer measures, cuts, sands, delivers, and installs wood components for cabinetry and countertops in both new construction and remodel environments. This role requires confident use of hand tools, power tools, and a variety of woodworking equipment to install cabinets, doors, drawers, hardware, and countertops accurately and efficiently while maintaining a clean and safe job site. Responsibilities Measure, cut, and sand wood components for cabinetry according to specifications and drawings. Assist with loading all materials, cabinets, and related components for each assigned job. Verify that all required parts, tools, and materials are present before departing for the job site. Deliver and unload cabinets and materials at the job site with care, protecting products and surroundings. Report any missing materials, damage, or issues immediately to the Lead Installer or appropriate contact. Install cabinetry accurately and efficiently following shop drawings or blueprints. Ensure all cabinets are level, plumb, and securely fastened to walls, floors, and other structures. Set drawer boxes and hang cabinet doors with proper alignment and smooth operation. Install cabinet hardware, including pulls, knobs, hinges, and other fittings. Apply door bumpers and other finishing details to protect surfaces and ensure quality. Install wood, laminate, or cultured marble countertops, ensuring joints and miters are tight and secure. Scribe countertops and other components so they fit snugly to walls and adjoining surfaces. Apply caulking neatly and consistently for a clean, professional finish. Clean out and vacuum the interior of all installed cabinetry before job completion. Sweep up sawdust and job site debris to maintain a safe and orderly work area. Remove all garbage, packaging, and leftover materials from the site before leaving. Follow safety procedures when using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment. Collaborate with team members and other trades on site to coordinate work and meet project timelines. Essential Skills Proficient in using hand tools such as tape measures, hammers, chisels, and screwdrivers. Skilled in operating power tools commonly used in construction and finish carpentry. Experience in general labor or construction environments. Ability to perform finish carpentry tasks with attention to detail and quality. Ability to perform rough carpentry tasks related to cabinet and countertop installation. Ability to read and follow shop drawings or blueprints for cabinetry installation. Strong measuring, cutting, and sanding skills for wood components. Capability to lift 50+ pounds and handle cabinets, countertops, and materials safely. Ability to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods during installation work. Comfort working around dust, noise, and power tools in active construction environments. Additional Skills & Qualifications Background in woodworking or cabinetry is beneficial. Experience installing cabinets, doors, drawers, hardware, and countertops is an advantage. Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision once trained. Strong attention to detail to ensure level, secure installations and clean finishes. The role requires frequent lifting of 50+ pounds, as well as bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods throughout the day. Work may take place outdoors or in unheated and unfinished interiors depending on the project stage, so you should be comfortable working in varying temperatures and conditions. Appropriate workwear suitable for construction and woodworking environments is expected to ensure safety and practicality on site. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Cold Spring, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
