We are looking for an experienced Cabinet Finisher to join our team in Durham, NC. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in quality craftsmanship, pays attention to detail, and enjoys seeing a project through to a finished product. Responsibilities Sand, stain, seal, and finish custom cabinetry and architectural millwork Apply paints, stains, toners, lacquers, conversion varnishes, and other wood finishes Match existing finishes and colors when required Prepare surfaces for finishing through proper sanding and cleaning techniques Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards Work closely with shop personnel to maintain production schedules Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Assist with touch-ups and field repairs when necessary Qualifications Minimum 3 years of experience in cabinet finishing, wood finishing, furniture finishing, or related field Knowledge of spray equipment, finishing materials, and finishing techniques Ability to read shop drawings and understand finish specifications Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to work independently and as part of a team Reliable transportation and strong work ethic Preferred Qualifications Experience with custom commercial millwork Experience matching stains and custom color finishes Familiarity with conversion varnish and catalyzed finishing systems What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Full-time, year-round work Clean, professional shop environment Opportunity to work on unique, high-end projects Stable company with a strong reputation and consistent backlog of work Supportive team atmosphere
