Required:

CAD experience in wood design. Applicants without this experience will not be considered. This is a hands-on, start-to-finish role supporting custom wood product projects from initial concept through final production. The position blends wood CAD design, customer and sales collaboration, and on-the-floor manufacturing, making it ideal for someone who enjoys both technical design and craftsmanship. Projects primarily include custom flooring, doors, and stair components. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with sales and customers to gather specifications for custom wood products Create CAD drawings and designs for custom orders, prototypes, and production-ready parts Translate design concepts into manufacturable plans for CNC and shop production Operate and support production using CNC machines, hand routers, boring machines, and traditional wood joinery methods Build prototypes and support project revisions as needed Work cross-functionally with production, sales, and management to ensure project accuracy and timelines Support projects from concept, design, and prototyping through final production and delivery Maintain quality standards and ensure designs align with production capabilities Assist with continuous improvement of design and production processes Required Qualifications Experience using wood-specific CAD software for design and production Strong understanding of wood manufacturing processes and materials Hands-on experience with CNC machinery and shop equipment Working knowledge of wood joinery, routing, and machining techniques Ability to interpret customer needs and translate them into functional designs Strong communication skills for collaboration across departments and with customers Ability to manage multiple projects and see them through from start to finish Preferred Qualifications Background in custom woodworking, millwork, or architectural wood products Experience designing and producing flooring, doors, stairs, or similar products Comfortable working in a small, team-oriented, family-owned environment Schedule & Work Environment Full-time, 1st shift Hands-on shop and production floor environment Family-owned company with long-term stability and craftsmanship-focused culture #PSDH
